Billie Sweatshirt

I have made my first Billie sweatshirt ( pattern by Tilly and the Buttons). I added three inches to the  body length and one inch to the sleeve. Next time I will add two inches to the body. I prefer long sweaters but three extra inches was too much. Billie is quick easy pattern with clear instructions. I will make more but the Sewhouse7 Toaster Sweater  version one is still my favourite pattern - ever! To be continued

Ruffle Scrunchies

Another scrap busting idea. I made these ruffle scrunchies following the detailed instructions from Made for Mermaids.  LINK  . Thank you Megan. The grey and red scrunchie is school uniform colours. There are more ruffle scrunchies to be made!

Ruffle Sleeved Dresses for 18" Dolls

With thanks to HappyBankky Crafty Mom who has posted lots of tutorials about sewing clothes for 14" and !8" dolls on YouTube,  I made four ruffle sleeved dresses this week.  The first dress took many hours as I chose some lining from my stash that frayed faster than I could sew. I also didn't follow the instructions closely enough !  The next three were much faster because I had learned from my mistakes.  Three of the dresses fasten with velcro at the back. I strengthened the daisy dress back seam with ribbon then used studs. Whether they will hold up to a lot of use I will have to wait and see when my young relatives own them.
